Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace temporary restroom facilities (i.e., porta potties) with a permanent, precast concrete (CXT) restroom facility at the Fishing Jetty in Salton Sea SRA. Two placement locations, with comparable conditions, are being considered. Geotechnical borings will be taken at each location to inform placement. Location A is east of the existing parking lot, between the parking area and Varner Harbor. Location B is south of the parking lot. Both locations are comparable and have suitable area clear of vegetation, with minimal vegetation removal required for placement. Other improvements to support the new facility include a pedestrian walkway from the parking area to the CXT, and utility improvements for lighting. District standard project conditions have been incorporated into the project.
