The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ELD-49500-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Georgetown Divide Public Utility District. The Project is limited to the installation of a concrete lining within two segments of the existing engineered canal within the Georgetown Divide Ditch. A waste gate upstream of the construction site will be closed and the proposed canal segments will be allowed to be dewatered prior to initiation of construction activities. The Project will include trimming overgrown vegetation to the ground and cutting or moving downed trees. The dewatered Canal section will be cleared of debris and will be minorly reshaped using a backhoe bucket. Following clearing and grading, concrete lining will be applied and stabilized with reinforcement wire for structural support. A concrete pump and hose will be used to deliver concrete from delivery trucks stationed at the nearest access road. Upon completion, all temporarily disturbed areas will be hydroseeded, straw wadded and/or mulched. All areas temporarily disturbed by construction activities would be recontoured to pre-Project conditions after work is complete.
