Document Description
The Sierra Resource Conservation District (SRCD) will work with the Sierra Foothill Conservancy to enhance habitat and restore native vegetation on the Ruth McKenzie Preserve. The work will include invasive species removal, seeding native grass, applying compost to rangeland, and restoring riparian areas with native plants. The project will create more habitat for pollinators, reduce erosion, and enhance the water holding capacity of the soil at the preserve. The project site is located in the foothills region off of Auberry Rd in Fresno County.

The project will use practices that do not adversely affect archaeological resources and known sites will be avoided.
