Document Description
This project involves the demolition and removal of all existing structures, foundations, asphalt concert and miscellaneous debris. The work also includes the removal of some trees and vegetation, well decommissioning, septic abandonment, and miscellaneous rough grading. Biological and cultural assessments have been prepared for the site. The cultural assessment did not find any resources of significant value. The biological assessment did not find any sensitive or critical species or habitats on the site. Both studies are on file at the City of Clovis Engineering Division, 1033 Fifth Street, Clovis, CA 93612.

Reasons for Exemption
Reasons why project is exempt: The California Code of Regulations includes guidelines for implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Article 19 of the Guidelines addresses Categorical Exemptions for certain types of projects. These guidelines contain a list of classes of projects which have been determined not to have a significant effect on the environment and which may be exempt from the provisions of CEQA. The proposed project is categorically exempt from CEQA under Section 15301 Existing Facilities. The project consists of the demolition of existing structures on the site and the Maintenace of the site including the removal of some vegetation and trees, which are exempt from CEQA per Section 15301.
