Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SON-48456-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Luke Miner.
The project is limited to the installation of a 40 foot long 60-inch diameter culvert and associated rock riprap at the culvert inlet and outlet, which will provide access for forest restoration and fire resiliency work. A historic wet crossing has been decommissioned and the new culvert will be placed in the same location. The road prism is already excavated to the appropriate depth. A mini-excavator will be used to lower the pipe into the channel. The excavator and all equipment will remain on the existing road during installation. The project will result in approximately 550 square feet of permanent impacts to riparian habitat. All temporary impacts from access and staging will be restricted to the existing road prism. Two riparian trees will be removed as part of this project.
