Document Description
Caltrans proposes a Minor B project to perform a life cycle reset of the traffic signal system at NB I-805 at San Ysidro Blvd., NB I-805 at Bonita Rd., and SB I-805 at E St. within the Cities of San Ysidro and Chula Vista in San Diego County. The existing system has reached its end-of-life. The components are prone to failures and new equipment are necessary to meet current directives and policies. Project work includes replacing cables, loop detection sites, controller cabinets, accessible pedestrian signals, and pedestrian signal heads and installing an intersection camera with performance measure. There will be minimal soil disturbance when installing foundations for the controller cabinets and associated pull boxes. All project activities will occur within Caltrans Right-of-Way. Environmental Commitments are contained in the ECR.
