Document Description
The project involves replacing the deteriorated concrete deck at the pedestrian bridge located above Santa Ana Delhi Channel on the Bayview trail within the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve. The bridge deck is approximately 84’ long and 10’ wide. This bridge is used by trail users to cross over Santa Ana Delhi Channel. All work will be conducted solely above the bridge and on the deck. No activity will take place in the channel or underneath the bridge. The Contractor will create a physical perimeter around the bridge deck to reduce the construction noise in the area using plywood and tarp system. Detours and signage will be provided during the closer of the Bayview Trail Pedestrian Bridge. Construction is anticipated for approximately 2 weeks in November – December 2024.
