The Tahoe-Central Sierra Initiative (TCSI) covers 2.4 million acres of forested watersheds in the central Sierra. It includes nine counties and two states (CA and NV). It includes the Lake Tahoe Basin, American River, and Yuba River watersheds.

Reasons for Exemption
The Class 6 categorical exemption applies to projects that consist of basic data collection, research, experimental management, resource evaluation activities, and which do not result in serious or major disturbance to environmental resources. This Project will consist of funding desktop project management and mapping, data management, and outreach activities within the TCSI landscape. The activities contemplated under this grant are consistent with this exemption, and the project will not result in any serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource.
