Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-CCA-49540-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Esther Diesendruck. The project is limited to the following activities: grading, installation of rock slope protection (RSP), native vegetative plantings, and installation of log bendway weirs. During project activities, the stream will temporarily be diverted around the work area and the work area will be dewatered. A temporary sediment barrier will be installed between stream surface flows and the work area. The lower, eastern bank will be graded to a 1.3:1 slope at the base. After grading, RSP will be installed with slightly larger spacing of keyed-in boulders moving up the bank and increased plantings before transitioning to a gentler 2:1 slope to be planted and seeded and protected with biodegradable coir netting keyed in at the top of bank. Native plantings will be incorporated into the keyed in boulders, with willow pole plantings at the base and native containerized plants higher up the bank. Three to four log bendway weirs will be installed at the toe of the slope to redirect the higher force flows back to the channel center particularly at the property boundary transition downstream to protect the adjacent neighbor's bank.
