Document Description
The goals of this project are to increase riparian habitat, remove invasive plant species, sequester carbon, reduce erosion, and engage the local community in conservation practices and restoration science. The 2.2 acre project would include the establishment of native (mostly) woody vegetation along two sections of creek bank. The long-term revegetation goal is to enhance over and mid-story complexity along the stream. The project will enhance wildlife habitat connectivity and thermal refugia for a diversity of birds, mammals, amphibians, and other wildlife. The plant palette will reduce the vulnerability of wildlife to phenological mismatches by increasing the number of months and the amount of resources (cover, food) that are available. (WCB Project Tracker ID: 2022065).
