Document Description
The Project proposes to rehabilitate 17,626 feet of existing sanitary sewer collection pipe utilizing the pipe bursting method (between 6 and 15-inch diameter pipes). The existing pipelines are located within existing paved roads and the front and backyard property lines of private properties in the City of Piedmont in Alameda County, California. The Project is phase 6 of the City’s ongoing Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Projects. The State, as the Lead Agency, has approved the above-described Project and has made the following determinations: There is no substantial evidence that the Proposed Project will have a significant effect on the environment; In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Proposed Project was prepared. The Mitigated Negative Declaration has been adopted by City of Piedmont which is the Lead Agency for the Proposed Project.

The Project Area collectively consists of approximately 4.08 acres of discontinuous property located in the unsectioned San Antonio (V. and D. Peralta) Land Grant as depicted on the 1997 “Oakland East, California” U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5-minute topographic quadrangle map. The Project Area is located in
discontinuous sections throughout the City of Piedmont, primarily within City Right of Way (ROW). The Project Area is west of State Route (SR) 13, north of Interstate (I) 580, south of Moraga Avenue, and east
of Broadway.
