Project focuses on pedestrian, bike, & transit safety improvements along the 2.6-mile Slauson Ave corridor & 10 other unsignalized intersections or midblock crossings citywide which include upgrading each signalized intersection along Slauson Ave with audible pedestrian countdown signals, installing Class III bike route, crosswalk enhancements, speed feedback signs, and upgrading bus shelters with pedestrian amenities and the uncontrolled crossings include installing new high visibility crosswalk striping, advanced pedestrian warning signs, RRFBs, raised pavement markers, pavement legends, and yield lines. The project will benefit pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists including residents and visitors of the City of Commerce.
