Document Description
Project proposes to mount a knox box and a California State Parks Pass Office directional sign onto an historic brick wall of the Heilbron Mansion in Sacramento to allow for fire department access in case of an emergency and to provide public guidance to the new Parks Pass Office location. Work will: drill eight (8) holes into the historic brick wall and use bolts and epoxy to attach the knox box and the sign for the Parks Pass Office.

The project consists of the operation of minor alteration of existing public or private structures or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels and the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures and is included as “Construction or installation of park facilities, such as signs” in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR §15300.4; and consists of projects limited to maintenance, repair, stabilization, rehabilitation, restoration, preservation, conservation or reconstruction of historical resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
