Document Description
The Project will consist of: 1. Removing and replacing approximately 4 feet of existing roadway asphalt (AC} shoulders on the northeast and southeast side of the bridge approach. 2. Placing back a twelve {12) inch section of Hot Mix Asphalt {HMA) and a three (3) inch section of HMA "key" to bridge the new shoulders with the existing roadway. Using Class 2 Aggregate Base (AB) where needed to prepare subgrade for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) placement, and placing and compact (95% relative compaction). 3. Removing and replacing approximately 2,700 linear feet (LF) of existing six (6) inch Asphalt (AC) dike along both sides of the eastern bridge approach. 4. Removing and replacing six (6) cross pipes, twelve (12) Storm Drain Inlets (SDI) and six (6) down drains at the east and west sides of the bridge. 5. Creating a swale/drainage ditch to move water runoff to existing ditch system on the southwest corner of the bridge approach. 6. Placing Rip Rap under outfalls/down drains to prevent erosion on the south side of the bridge. 7. Repairing embankment erosion at various locations, as needed.
