Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to benefit the coastal zone by removing several high-priority large marine debris targets that interfere with navigation and pose ongoing and potential threats to public safety and the environment. The Project is specifically focused on the removal of three abandoned and derelict vessels, one personal aircraft, and 16 anchor chains and buoys from the Greater Farallones and Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuaries. Activities include using lift and float salvage techniques, technical divers, and other salvage equipment as needed.
