Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-RIV-50332-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Richland Planned Communities, Inc. The purpose of this Project is to conduct routine maintenance activities on 4.74 acres of the 9.45-acre Project site, which includes drainage easement areas and associated inlets/outlets. Best Management Practices (BMPs) include work area boundary delineation, pre-activity sweep, erosion and runoff control, cleanup activities, vegetation removal and disposal guidelines, and decontamination requirements. Routine maintenance activities will be limited to the following: sediment excavation of approximately 10 cubic yards at each location listed above and structural repairs; channel slope repair; debris and trash removal; existing rip-rap repair; maintenance access road and fence/gate repair; non-native vegetation removal; vector control. Maintenance activities are expected to occur annually. Sediment removal within the basins and outlet structures will be conducted with a bobcat, excavator, bulldozer, dump truck, and water truck. No trees, greater than two inches in diameter at breast height, will be removed.

ln accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, this Project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA review pursuant to Section 15302, Class 1 operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The proposed Project meets the requirements of these exemptions; therefore, no further CEQA review is required.
