The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is financing the Project referred to internally as City of Galt Recycled Water Feasibility Study. The Project is a recycled water feasibility study which aims to identify a preferred project for recycled water use within and near the City of Galt (City) service area. Recycled water would serve as a supplemental source of supply to meet the City’s and/or nearby farmers’ anticipated future demands and reduce dependency on the local groundwater supply, particularly during periods of drought.
