Document Description
The City of Petaluma (City) is constructing its Primary Influent Pump Station Parallel Force Main Project (Project), which includes an approximately 13,000-foot-long, new 36-inch sewer force main parallel to the existing force main to provide redundancy. The new force main will provide increased reliability to the City’s sanitation system and allow maintenance to be conducted without delays in services. The City, as Lead Agency pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), completed environmental documentation in accordance with the CEQA for the Project. The City prepared an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND). The City approved the project, adopted findings, and adopted a Mitigation and Monitoring Reporting Plan on February 24, 2025. A Notice of Determination for the Project was filed on February 26, 2025. Sonoma Water currently uses the property for flood control purposes. The easement meet all the requirements of Government Code, Section 65402, for General Plan consistency.
