Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a commercial cannabis Distribution license submitted on May 24, 2024, by Shryne National City LLC. The Project will consist of operating cannabis distribution out of an existing 8,540 sq ft warehouse on parcels zoned for heavy industrial and designated as heavy and light industry. Activities include moving cannabis and cannabis products between cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution, moving finished cannabis goods to retail premises, and arrangements for testing of cannabis goods.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply. Class 32 Categorical Exemptions consist of environmentally benign infill projects that are consistent with the General Plan and Zoning requirements.
