Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a commercial cannabis cultivation license. The Project would operate 5,301 square feet (sf) of outdoor mature cannabis canopy cultivation, 1,080 sf of immature canopy, and 2,280 sf of associated support structures. The project is located on a 14.78-acre parcel within the Salt Creek watershed (HUC 12 180102120301). The Project site is zoned as Agricultural 10 Acre minimum (A10), and its Trinity County General Plan land use designation is Agricultural (A). The Project would operate 5,301 square feet (sf) of outdoor mature cannabis canopy cultivation, 1,080 sf of immature canopy, and 2,280 sf of associated support structures. Water for the Project would be provided from an onsite well. A septic system on the adjacent parcel (APN 016- 200-24-00) also owned by the Applicant will serve the Project’s domestic wastewater needs.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
