Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SAC-49473-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Carel Van Loben Sels, Reclamation District 551, Pearson District. The project is limited to 24 waterside levee erosion and scour repair sites along the Sacramento River, beginning at station 15+43 and ending at station 328+45. The existing rip rap will be used as a bench for the placement of new quarry stone to armor the waterside slope. The erosion sites will be repaired with rip rap, and placed above the Mean High Water (MHW). No rock will be allowed to enter the waterway. Materials will be placed by barge or truck. Existing vegetation includes ruderal species and riparian scrub shrub habitat. Clearing and grubbing will be minimal. Existing trees will be avoided to the extent possible. Seasonal work periods are expected to be from July 1 through October 31.
