Document Description
The project consists of a Right of Entry (ROE) permit for Sprint PCS, Assets, L.L.C. to temporarily access the subject property for the sole purpose of decommissioning and removing existing Sprint communications equipment (antennas, lines, and ground equipment) from an existing communication facility on County owned property. The equipment to be removed from roof and an existing equipment control room. The permittee will use a crane on existing parking lot to remove equipment from roof. The ROE permit expires 60 days following execution of ROE permit.

The Lease agreement between the County of San Diego and the State of California is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301: Existing Facilities as it involves removal of existing communications equipment placed on an existing communications facility that would have no permanent effects on the environment and does not involve the expansion or change of the existing use. Further, no exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply to the project. Additionally, the project will not impact environmental resources of hazardous or critical concern that are designated, precisely mapped and officially adopted by government agencies; does not contribute to cumulative environmental impact; will not have a significant impact on the environment due to unusual circumstances; does not damage scenic resources within a designated state scenic highway; and is not on the list of Hazardous Waste and Substance Sites pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.
