Document Description
The project consists of acquiring 20.9 acres of property with existing structures and parking lot located at 24102 Highway 76, Santa Ysabel, CA 92070. The Fox Fire Center houses hand and fire engine crews with corresponding fire fighters, fire captains, fire apparatus engineers, and battalion chiefs (approximately 102 staff). CAL FIRE has been leasing and occupying this property as a Fire Center since March of 2022. The property was owned by the San Diego County School District but has recently been transferred to San Diego County. In an effort to continue operation of the Fox Fire Center, CAL FIRE will acquire the property from the county. No improvements are being proposed at this time.
