Document Description
There are 10 total campuses that will receive extensive landscape renovations to be determined after engagement and design. Renovations could include a custom outdoor classroom, nature trail, nature playground, butterfly or rain gardens and extensive tree planting. Each campus will receive between 50-200 trees (majority #15). The planting site will be prepared by a one-person auger, excavating the holes approximately 30" wide x 13" deep, but each hole will be dug specific to that tree's root ball. A planting plan will be developed prior to ensure that the trees and plants are suited to that space and will not interfere with power lines, solar structures, utility lines, or other underground services. Tree holes will be hand dug in sensitive areas determined by prior analysis of site. Both a certified arborist, civil engineer and landscape architect will review plans. Trees will be planted to support water shed management and mitigate flooding.
