Document Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Medford, Lakeview, and Northern California Districts are revising the current resource management plan (RMP) for the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM). This Proposed RMP/Final Environmental Impact Statement (Proposed RMP/Final EIS) provides a description of the various alternative management approaches the BLM is considering for the management of these lands along with an analysis of the potential effects of the alternatives and the Proposed RMP. The planning area is 170,407 acres and includes lands within Jackson and Klamath Counties in Oregon, and Siskiyou County in California. The CSNM’s decision area is the approximately 113,500 acres of BLM-administered lands within the planning area. Approximately 5,340 acres of BLM-administered lands in the planning area were in Siskiyou County, California. A Notice of Availability was published on Friday October 11, 2024, in the Federal Register to open a 30-day protest period and initiate the California Governor's Consistency Review. Please refer to the accompanying Proposed RMP/Final EIS and Governor's Consistency Review letter requesting an expedited 30-day review.
