Document Description
The proposed project includes a lease modification and improvements to an existing cementitious materials receiving and distribution marine terminal at the Port to improve and expand operational efficiency. Proposed improvements include rehabilitating Berth 3/4 to support a new ship unloader capable of servicing longer and wider vessels, removing obsolete equipment and structures from the operational area, installing unloading equipment, adding rail tracks for increased loading capacity, and replacing an existing storage bunker with a higher-capacity storage dome. In addition, M/V Golden Arrow, currently moored at Berth 3/4 and used for cement operations, would be discontinued from use and relocated elsewhere. Following these improvements, the upgraded terminal operations will be able to support higher volumes of product and additional vessel, truck, and rail calls compared to current operations. Construction is expected to take 24 months, with work occurring simultaneously at dock and land-side areas. In-water activities will adhere to the in-water work window. Terminal operations would continue throughout construction.
