The proposed project would improve safety and operations on the U.S. Route 101 corridor between between the unincorporated community and census-designated place of Chualar and the city of Salinas in Monterey County, California (from post miles 76.5 to 85.6). The project proposes modifications to the existing corridor that would include new relocated interchanges, modified access control, new local roads, and modifications to existing road networks.
