Document Description
The project consists of repairs to the Spring Valley Community Center damaged by flood waters from winter storms in 2024. Repairs consist of replacement of carpet, interior walls, insulation and base molding. Additionally, the repair areas will be treated with anti-microbial treatment and an air scrubber (or equivalent) will be used to bring air quality up to acceptable standards.

Section 15301 (Existing Facilites) of the State CEQA Guidelines applies to this project because the project entails repairs to the interior of an existing facility without an expansion of use.
Additionally, the project will not impact environmental resources of hazardous or critical concern that are designated, precisely mapped and officially adopted by government agencies; does not contribute to cumulative environmental impact; will not have a significant impact on the environment due to unusual circumstances; does not damage scenic resources within a designated state scenic highway; is not on the list of Hazardous Waste and Substance Sites pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code; and does not cause adverse change in the significance of a historical resource.
