Document Description
The project will conduct geotechnical studies at Dam No. 1 at Trione-Annadel State Park to identify soil conditions for the outlet pipe repair needed to meet the State requirements for dam safety. Work will use a hand auger to perform two (2) boring on the downstream face of the dam and perform a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) sounding near the hand-auger boring locations to evaluate soil consistency/relative density. Workers will obtain representative soil samples from the borings, log the borings in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Upon completion, backfill the borings with neat cement grout.
