On September 18, 2024, the City Council of the City of San Bernardino approved Award of Agreement for Construction of Lytle Creek Futsal Field Project (Ward 3) (“Agreement”).
The Agreement would allow for the construction of a synthetic futsal field with fencing at Lytle Creek Park and allow for the resurfacing of the existing parking lot. The Agreement would allow the City to issue KYA Services, LLC. a “Notice to Proceed”, initiating the process to commence the construction of the futsal field.

The Project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15303, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures (“Class 3”). The Class 3 exemptions allows for the conversion of existing facilities from one use to another where only minor modifications are made to the facility.
Here, the Project involves resurfacing the existing parking lot and using a portion to create a futsal field with synthetic turf and fencing.
