Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to install 22 private low water adaptation buoy blocks for recreational boating access and enhance fish habitat by adding eight square feet of gravel to the lakebed at the subject property on Lake Tahoe. The applicant owns a 22-slip harbor (or private pier) that becomes inaccessible during low water conditions due to the littoral transport of sand and gravel from Blackwood Creek. Installation of the buoy blocks will provide an alternative moorage option and potentially reduce the frequency of maintenance dredging in the harbor.
