Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project, consisting of text amendments to various sections of Title 17 (Zoning) of the Norwalk Municipal Code, is exempt by the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the California Code of Regulations, also known as the “Common Sense Exemption” and Section 15311 (Class 11 – Accessory Structures) of the California Code of Regulations, for the construction or replacement of minor accessory structures including on- premise signs. The project will not involve any construction nor have a significant effect on the environment.
