Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Statutory Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15061(b)(3)
Reasons for Exemption
Common sense exemption pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) because CEQA only applies to projects with potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. There is no change in baseline environmental conditions or potential to cause a significant effect on the environment. On April 17, 2024, City consultant, Interwest Group, completed an Initial Study evaluation, which concluded no environmental factors would be potentially affected by the STR regulation. The City Council confirmed the determination that the STR ordinance would not result in potential to cause a significant effect on the environment.
