Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority
granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, section 25300 et seq is considering approving a proposed Remedial Action Plan (RAP) for the remediation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and metals (including lead) in soil through soil excavation, site restoration, and, if required, institutional controls. The purpose of the project is to allow the former manufactured gas plant property to be redeveloped for commercial or
residential purposes at some point in the future, after post-construction sampling indicates that acceptable concentrations of soil and soil vapor contaminants have been met.
