The project involves the installation of approximately 1,150 linear feet of a new 36-inch diameter storm drainpipe along Bush Street. The proposed storm drain extension will commence at the existing manhole located at the intersection of Bush Street and Belle Haven Drive, where the existing manhole will be replaced with a new one. From this point of connection, the storm drain will extend westward along Bush Street, terminating at Semas Drive to accommodate a future connection. Miscellaneous trench paving and a few ornamental trees may be removed to allow the new line to be installed.

Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 3 (Section 15303(d))
Reasons for Exemption
According to the attached findings worksheet, all the findings applicable to a Class 3 exemption can be made. Class 3 15303(d) New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures: Water main, sewage, electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, of reasonable length to serve such construction. The project consists of storm drain pipeline installation to connect existing and future City of Lemoore (City) storm drain infrastructure. These improvements will be located within the developed road right of way along Bush Street and will comply with City development standards. Installation of the new equipment and facilities are considered minor modifications within the existing road, which has been previously disturbed and developed with roadway improvements. The improvements will allow the City to more efficiently and effectively handle stormwater during rain events, thereby minimizing the potential of flooding and improving public safety.
