Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The proposed project is a cannabis cultivation operation located at 1551 Trinity Pines Drive (APN 019-350-026-000) in Trinity County. The project is on a +/- 2.56-acre parcel zoned as Unclassified. The project consists of 6,233 square feet (sf) of mature cannabis canopy grown in four outdoor cultivation areas. Additional facilities include 968 sf of associated support buildings for pesticide and agricultural waste storage, harvest storage, processing and cannabis waste composting. Plastic tanks provide +/- 12,000 gallons of water storage. Water for this project is provided by an existing groundwater well. Wastewater is treated in an existing septic system.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
