Document Description
This Active Transportation Program (ATP) project proposes to improve pedestrian and bicycle mobility and connectivity along Central Avenue between San Joaquin Street / Jacuzzi Street and San Luis Street / Pierce Street in the City of Richmond (see Attachment A for a project location map) by constructing new sidewalk-level Class I bikeways, widening existing sidewalks, and modifying existing curb ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) standards to accommodate pedestrians and new bikeways. In addition, the project proposes to install lighting underneath the freeway overcrossing and high-visibility crosswalk markings at intersections.
