The purpose of the project is to collect data on subsurface hydrogeologic conditions in the project area to inform decision-making on the feasibility of the San Dieguito Brackish Groundwater Desalination Project. The project would involve an 0.25- acre area for well drilling and aquifer testing, and not result in a serious or major disturbance of an environmental resource. The project would be part of a study leading to an action which OMWD has not yet approved, adopted, or funded. None of the exceptions to the use of a categorical exemption (CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2) apply to the project.
