Document Description
The City of Long Beach is seeking to procure and install three (3) power pedestals. These pedestals will be installed by the City of Long Beach at the Marine Maintenance Yard located at 147 N Queens Way. The pedestals will be installed at a site that has already been developed, and the work will consist of some alterations/modifications to existing infrastructure to make space and connect electrical infrastructure to the new pedestals at the existing space in the yard. These pedestals will support Special Events/First Responder Services for large events occurring in the vicinity.

The project consists of the installation of new electrical infrastructure and power pedestals and appurtenant work with no change to the existing use (Section 15301) or expansion of the existing facility. The project includes the installation of a limited number of new small equipment (power pedestals) within an existing lot/facility (Section 15303). The installation of conduit will require minor trenching where disturbed surface areas are restored to pre-project paved conditions, and be located in urbanized areas currently developed for vehicular parking and other maintenance operations and no trees or vegetation would be removed as part of the proposed project.
