Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Microbusiness cannabis license submitted on 02/01/2018, by JSCA, INC. The Project will consist of indoor cannabis cultivation, trimming, packaging, and distribution to dispensaries, with potential for manufacturing and non-storefront retail deliveries. The project will utilize a 4,210 square foot portion of a 13,068 square foot lot. The project receives water from the City of Mount Shasta and energy is provided by Pacific Power.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 and Class 32 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. The project is consistent with the applicable general plan designation and all applicable general plan policies as well as with applicable zoning designation and regulations. The proposed development occurs within city limits on a project site of no more than five acres substantially surrounded by urban uses. The project site has no value as habitat for endangered, rare or threatened species. Approval of the project would not result in any significant effects relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality. The site can be adequately served by all required utilities and public services. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
