Document Description
The Alameda County Public Works Agency (County) proposes roadway improvements on Grove Way from the Hayward City limit to Tanglewood Drive in the unincorporated community of Castro Valley in Alameda County. The proposed project consists of reconstructing the existing roadway pavement via full depth reclamation (cement); using the existing County road right-of-way to add Class II bike lanes; reconstruct existing concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways and pedestrian ramps; replace existing retaining walls as needed; remove approximately thirty-four (34) trees; plant trees; replace existing speed humps; and modify existing storm drain inlets to current standards. The project and its construction activities would be within the County road right-of-way and include traffic control measures and best management practices. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic and pedestrian safety.
