Document Description
The project consists of Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) submitting a request to The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) for consent of the concurrent annexation of the 17.26 net acres of land located along Whitewood Road and Clinton Keith Road in the City of Murrieta, County of Riverside. The current zoning for the subject parcels of land is residential. The objective of this project would be to consistently exceed customer expectations in all facets of EMWD’s service.

Reasons for Exemption
EMWD has undertaken its own independent review of the City’s record and determined that an exemption subject to PRC 21083.3 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15183. Section 21083 (e) states Where a community plan is the basis for application of this section, any rezoning action consistent with the community plan shall be a project subject to exemption from this division in accordance with this section.
