Document Description
The City of Williams proposes alternative transportation and complete street design principles on an approximate 1.75 mile stretch along E Street, between Sunset Street and Husted Road in the City of Williams (project). The project is intended to improve multi-modal connectivity and create a safer roadway environment for all users, address the needs of the most vulnerable travelers (pedestrians, students, and cyclists) and accommodate motor vehicle travel at appropriate speeds along the corridor.

Reasons for Exemption
Project improvements would consist of minor alterations of existing facilities including a multi-use pathway, a new roundabout, new storm water drainage system, landscaped medians, continuous east-west bike lanes, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle crossings, new pedestrian crossings, pathway lighting, ADA compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, repaving, culvert removals, landscaping, green infrastructure, and tree canopies that would not result in a significant effect on the environment. The proposed project is considered exempt from CEQA, per title 14, Section 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities.
