Document Description
To install a 6-inch diameter irrigation steel pipe and a 1.5-inch diameter Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) electrical conduit up-and-over the right (south) bank levee of Putah Creek. The project also includes installation a 36-in concrete pipe (on its side) in the levee to house the siphon breaker and positive closure, as well as placement of up to 1.2 ft of aggregate base (ramped) on the levee crown.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15302) because the activity consists of replacement and reconstruction of an existing structure in the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the replaced structure of an existing pipe associated with enforcement case 11661. The project is also exempt under the Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15304) because the proposed activity consists of the private alteration to land and do not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
