The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a commercial cannabis Small Indoor license submitted on 11/16/2021 by Oakfruitland, LLC. The project is located at 4901 E 12th St, Oakland (APN 34-2258-8-3) in Alameda County. Operations will consist of a cannabis cultivation within an existing 148,373 square foot (sf) commercial building on an approximately 159,000 sf lot. The project consists of 8352 sf of mature cannabis canopy. Associated functions include pesticide and agricultural chemical storage area, harvest storage area and cannabis waste area. No expansion of the building is planned.

Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
