Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration
Agreement EPIMS Notification No. CCA-23290-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Friends of Orinda Creeks as represented by David Hop.
The project is limited to the excavation and removal of an existing broken concrete creek channel, and the replacement of which with three natural rock step pools. The regraded channel and newly installed step pools will tie into an existing steel sheet pile wall on the right bank, and the unarmored left bank. Minor tree removal and riparian vegetation modification will occur, with all areas of disturbed soil being stabilized with biodegradable erosion control features and native vegetation.
