Reasons for Exemption
Project is categorically exempt, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines, pursuant to Title 14, Cal. Code Regulations Section 15315, Class 15 pertaining to Minor Land Divisions in urbanized areas. Class 15 is applicable and appropriate due to the project’s location within the Sultana Urban Development Boundary. The division of property is within an urbanized area zoned for industrial use, and results in less than four parcels. The division is in conformance with the General Plan and zoning, no variances or exceptions are required, all services and access to the proposed
parcels to local standards are available, the parcel was not involved in a division of a larger parcel within the previous 2 years, and the parcel does not have an average slope greater than 20 percent. Therefore, this project is not subject to CEQA
