Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 6 (Information Collection) 15306
Reasons for Exemption
Class 6 exempts basic data collection, such as borings. Because the boring diameters are very small (6 inches) and drill sites would be through the levee crown and on adjacent active agricultural lands (in existing roadways, orchards, and residential areas), effects on environmental resources would be minor. Locations range from 0.25 to 1.5 miles from the river.
