Document Description
The proposed Carmel Middle School Tennis Courts Expansion Project ("Project") includes the construction of four (4) new tennis courts totaling approximately 27,658 square feet, along with the installation of associated infrastructure near the existing tennis courts on the Carmel Unified School District's Carmel Middle School campus. The Project encompasses various site work activities, including grading, earthwork, site preparation, excavation, trenching, compaction, and landscaping. Additionally, the Project involves the construction of a 10-foot-tall exterior fencing system equipped with wind screens around the perimeter of the tennis courts (232 feet long by 122 feet wide). Accessibility improvements will be made by constructing concrete sidewalks and designating new accessible parking spots (12 feet long by 26 feet wide) in an existing parking lot. To support the functioning of the tennis courts, underground utilities will be installed to ensure proper lighting and electrical connectivity, and drainage systems will be implemented to manage stormwater runoff effectively. The beneficiaries of the Project will be the students, staff, and surrounding community.
