Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ELD-50917-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, El Dorado Hills Community Services District. The project is limited to the installation of a 50-ft prefab bridge crossing over a perennial stream with abutments and 160 square feet of rip rap rock slope protection. A drainage swale approximately 73 linear feet will be directed into the riparian area from the existing trail that flows into the unidentified stream. A timber retaining wall spanning 55 feet will be constructed along with the removal of two trees. This project is a part of a bigger trail project including 8,895 square feet of trail aggregate resurfacing and adding 430 linear feet of new native soil trails. The project Applicant will be installing eight pedestrian crossing signs and five trail signs.

The project is class 1 exempt because it involves the maintenance and minor alteration of existing public topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The project is class 2 exempt because it involves the reconstruction of existing structures where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. The project is class 4 exempt because it involves minor public alterations in the condition of land, and vegetation which does not involve the removal of healthy mature scenic trees.
